Golf Packages

Golf in this area is renowned for the variety of courses available to just the beginners, or to the golfer requiring just a little more of a challenge. There are two golf courses in Montrose town itself, with the Royal Montrose Links being one of the most challenging courses of the area, with its deep bunkers, narrow fairways, and a total yardage in excess of 6500 yards.

There are other courses in the area that offer a contrast to the Link courses, one in particular is Letham Grange - 'The Augusta of Scotland'. There are two courses, the old course and the Glen's course, each offering an excellent parkland golf experience.

The George Hotel is also perfectly positioned for visits to the home of golf, ST. Andrews, and to the 2007 Open Championship held at Carnoustie.

For all of these activities, the hotel mini-bus can be made available to provide transport to and from the venues of your choice, for which a fee is charged, depending on the number of people using the facility (mini-bus capacity 14 people).
